YIVETTE

Yivette, a short student film by Anna-Maria Bazian, follows the inner journey of its protagonist as she flees from her deepest fears and gradually confronts them, leading to a transformative self-discovery. The film’s sound design is rooted in experimental sound art, using unconventional textures, foley, and layered atmospheres to mirror Yivette’s shifting emotional states. Through sound, the film extends beyond narrative into a sensory experience, where fear, struggle, and renewal are not only seen but also felt. Yivette was officially selected for the ARFF International Film Festival and the Eastern Europe Film Festival, where its bold artistic approach and immersive sound design were recognized.
