Where Are You, Dear General?

Where Are You, Dear General?, directed by Lia Ginat and Gaia Broude, takes place on the tense border between North and South Korea, following a North Korean soldier whose small act of curiosity sparks questions of truth, authority, and imagined boundaries. Our sound design focused on curating authentic audio references from North Korea and blending them with crafted synth-based layers, shaping a sonic environment that mirrors both the rigidity of the regime and the soldier’s shifting inner world. The film was officially selected for the Haifa International Film Festival.
